Title: An analytical study of a two degrees of freedom Hamiltonian system associated to the reversible hyperbolic umbilic Speaker: Thomas Wagenknecht, TU Ilmenau, Germany We consider a class of second order ODEs which are Hamiltonian and additionally reversible with respect to two linear involutions and which possess a fixed point with a fourfold eigenvalue zero. We study bifurcations from this singular fixed point. Using methods from Catastrophe Theory for an unfolding of the associated Hamiltonian we obtain two different systems of ODEs related to the hyperbolic and elliptic umbilic catastrophe, respectively. In this context we deal with a codimension two problem.
